Prior to his arrival at North in 1994, Paredes coached the Bishop Amat football program for eight years and led the Lancers to the Division 1 title in 1992. He also was the football coach at Damien for six seasons. Paredes guided the Huskies to three appearances in the section finals and won section championships in 19. He was North’s football coach for 11 seasons over two stints with the program.

Pattison also served on the section’s girls volleyball coaches advisory committee for several seasons. Rim of the World also captured the CIF State Division III title in 2004, and the Scots were the state’s Division III runner-up the following season. The Scots made five trips to the section finals under Pattison’s leadership and claimed the Division 3AA championship in 20. Pattison compiled an overall record of 355-133-1 during her time with the program she once played for. The 16 people who are being honored were announced back in 2020, but the coronavirus pandemic delayed an official ceremony.
